Learning Self-Defense is Safe and Fun for All Ages Including Beginners. We specialize in teaching beginner-level students from age 4 to 94. We understand the basics of karate and emphasize the proper use of punches, kicks and strikes. We want to start you off on the right foot as a beginner student and help you advance to the next level with confidence.

Here at Crescent Moon, our objective is not to promote being all buff and tough. Instead, our main goal is to teach you effective techniques for self-defense that you can use right now.  Anyone can learn and you don’t need prior experience of any kind to start.

It also means teaching you and your family in FUN and EXCITING ways so that you can’t wait to come back and learn new things in the next class! Plus, you’ll make a lot of really awesome friends here that will give you high fives whenever you accomplish something big or small.

Sure, learning karate takes time and work, but it’s worth it because it’s so REWARDING!  That’s why karate is the most popular of the Japanese martial arts styles, and why we’re known for being the best karate school in Los Angeles.

We would love for you to become part of our growing family of martial arts enthusiasts.  When the student is ready, the teacher appears. See you soon!
